Croquet

Belleair Country Club is excited to announce the recent opening of two new, state-of-the-art, United States Croquet Association regulation-sized croquet courts. These new laser-leveled courts have been constructed using USGA modified green construction to ensure proper drainage and occupy a 230’ x 95’ footprint. Adjacent to the courts is a beautiful terrace with restrooms, seating and tables to allow spectators and players to relax and enjoy the croquet action in the comfort of shade. The courts are fully lighted for nighttime play.  

Croquet is a popular sport that can be enjoyed by all ages. Golf Croquet, as well as American Six Wicket, and Association games are all played regularly by Belleair Croquet Club members and their families. Instruction and introductory clinics for beginners and intermediate players is available and everyone is encouraged to play! All equipment necessary to play a variety of croquet games, including mallets, is available in a storage area adjacent to the croquet terrace. Traditional white clothing is required to be worn by all players, as well as flat shoes to protect the playing surface.
