Main Dining Room
Spacious and luxurious, the Main Dining Room provides breathtaking views of the golf courses. Combined with pleasing arrangements of linens, palatial furnishings and eclectic accoutrements reminiscent of Southern tradition, our Main Dining room will inspire you to plan for a grand social evening to entertain your guests and friends. The Main Dining Room comfortably seats three hundred and fifty people for dining, dancing, with plenty of room for a band, providing musical entertainment. With our temporary walls in place, this grand space can be transformed into a smaller room for fifty to sixty people enjoying the same amenities, but with more intimacy.
Sam Parks Lounge, Bar and Terrace
In fond memory of our member who won the 1935 U.S. Open, the Sam Parks Lounge, Bar and Terrace is a striking tribute to the man known as the sole golfer to escape the infamous sand traps at Oakmont Country Club. In his time, Sam Parks (1911 – 1997) was an active member, well liked by all. This is how you will find our Sam Park’s room, active and enjoyed by all. Seating is available for at least fifty guests in a variety of choices: opulent cordovan plush leather chairs surrounding intimate cocktail tables for four to provide privacy for a quiet tête-à-tête with friends; spacious and lavish dark mahogany bar with cozy black leather bar stools inviting casual conversation and/or opportunity to catch the latest televised events; or more traditional seating, inside or outdoors on the covered terrace while enjoying savory temptations from the bar menu and a spectacular view in the evening of the lit fountains, with the golf courses providing the backdrop. A piano player provides the musical entertainment in the evenings.
Happy hour-priced drinks and complimentary hors d’oeuvres are available in the Sam Parks Lounge, Tuesday through Sunday 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Belle Terrace
This captivating dining room is located on the upper level directly above the Portico, with a view to surpass all. Rolling golf courses, majestic palm trees and other flora, the elegant Belleview Biltmore Hotel to the north in all its majesty and history, and the serene waters of Clearwater Bay, all can be enjoyed from this dining room. The perfect blend of tranquility and formality, seating easily accommodates sixty guests. Adding to the ambience for those with a romantic or nostalgic taste, the infamous and breathtaking Florida sunset can be experienced every evening!
The Donald Ross Room
This secluded, corner Dining Room with windows and views at every turn can transform your business meeting into an amiable experience. This room has comfortable seating for twelve, using a conference table or individual tables.
The Mike Souchak Room
Seating available for eighteen people. This room is named after our esteemed member, Mike Souchak, who for over 45 years, held the record for the lowest scoring (257) for 72 holes. He set the record at the 1955 Texas Open and it endured 1,975 PGA Tour events. The Souchak Room is ideal for card playing, smoking, and/or general conversation over drinks and snacks from the bar just outside the door.
