Our Courts
Belleair Country Club has seven har-tru clay tennis courts, five of which are lighted. This surface is a medium speed all purpose court which is much easier on joints and muscles than the more common, “hard court”, especially for those players with “old” injuries.
The tennis shop sells balls, clothing, accessories, racquets and offers racquet restringing. Complimentary towels are available at the desk in the tennis shop.
A member of staff is available at the tennis center from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. during the high season and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the summer months. Reservations can be made up to seven (7) days in advance except on designated men’s, ladies or special event days. For those who are new to the Club, new to tennis or are out of touch with the tennis membership, our Director of Tennis will help find partners and games to get you started.
The Director of Tennis at Belleair Country Club is Drew Wager, USPTR. Drew offers private, semi-private and group lessons for men, women and children as well as junior programs. The facility has three certified professionals with over 30 years instruction experience.
Available Games For Men, Ladies, and Mixed Doubles
Belleair Country Club endeavors to accommodate our tennis members by making easy, regular access to a game available throughout the year.
On Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings, from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., we have informal “drop-in” men’s doubles for all levels. We hold various men’s events during high season, including Club Championships.
On Friday morning on from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. we have informal “drop-in” ladies doubles for all levels. Once a month on Friday at 9:00 a.m. we have a round robin.
Sundays from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. during the summer and 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. during winter we hold Mixed Doubles. Once a month on Sunday at either 9:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. we hold a Round Robin.
